3rds game at Hays Paddock Nth

The 3rds home ground at Willsmere Reserve is still unavailable for play, so tomorrow’s game has been transferred to Hays Paddock North. With our LOC5 XI having a Bye this weekend, this is a great opportunity to get down and support the 1st and 3rd XI, who will be playing next to each other.

Deeners feeling washed out

Training for tonight (Thursday Sept 29) and Saturday October 1 has been cancelled due to the wet weather. Training will be as normal next week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings leading into the first game on Saturday October 8. See you there!

James Rogers makes ECA History with Grand Final Hattrick

On Monday this week Deepdene Uniting 1st XI opening bowler James Rogers became the first to complete an outstanding feat in the Macgibbon Shield Grand Final. In the 90 year history of the ECA & ESDCA, there have been 127 hattricks recorded in total, and not one of these has been in a Grand Final, let alone in the top grade of the competition.  Jimmy’s final figures were 6/39 off 22 overs, including 10 maidens. Congratulations Jimmy!
